Jannick Piskorski has a BA degree in History and Musicology from the Greifswald University and is a Master student in Eastern European Studies at the Hamburg University. He also studied at the and the University of Warsaw and Music Theory at the University of Music Lübeck, where he was a research assistant in the DFG research project ‘Transatlantic Relations and Anti-American Reservations in the Musical Life of the German Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy 1880-1915’. He has also worked as a research assistant at the German Historical Institute in Rome and at the Institute of the History of the German Jews in Hamburg. Since 2021 he is a co-organizer of the seminar series Decolonize Eastern Europe. He received several scholarships, eg. the Deutschland-Stipendium scholarship and the scholarship from the GFPS foundation.
